Birds

Birds are basically dinosaurs, at least as much as we are primates. Anyway, here's a few photos of them:

I don't usually have the time or energy to go on trips, so I end up taking pictures of mallards, Anas platyrhynchos, who are easily spotted in various little ponds at Kadrioru park. This one is from the Japanese-style enclave there (same goes for the next two).

Blackbirds, Turdus merula are a very common sight around here. I like their tendency to cohabit bushes with housesparrow flocks.

This was, I think, the only time I've seen a coal tit, Periparus ater. Typically I only see great or blue tits around here.
